New album "a bridge to Dobroland" out !!!

Dear friends,

my new ( the 5th ! ) solo-CD of is a collection of 18 Songs. Some of them are very untypical for me that´s

why I call the album my "weirdest" so far. Some of the songs are typical singer/songwriter-tunes with a

lot of slide guitar - others are more fragmental and experimental. Together with my wife Anke Doernberg

( Nikki Puppet ) and the Rough Silk-musicians Mike Mandel ( Matt "Gonzo" Roehr ), Alex Wenn ( Gunter

Gabriel ) and André Hort I would like to take the listener to a journey through different musical territorries

like tango, jazz, blues, celtic folk, metal, hardcore, streetpunk, classical music, 70íes-prog and even hip-hop

but I always try to keep the main focus on the ironic, sometimes sardonic and very often emotional lyrics

- as a contrast to to the bombastic arrangements of some of the songs you can also find stripped-down

acoustic tunes on the CD. Guest-performances by Hanover´s Hardcore legends Subculture Squad and the

horrorpunk original Dr Thorstein ( Terrill ) fit well into the picture of a very creative and definitely not

mainstream-orientated album...

The original plan was to make an album that contains "de-metallized" versions of songs I had written for

other projects like Rough Silk but during the process I wrote new songs and creativity knocked at the

studio-door to say "hello !" so the album suddenly went into a different direction - some of the songs are

pretty weird, experimental or simply untypical for me but I hope that you´re open-minded enough to follow

even me here ! I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it !
