Some do it for the money - some do it for the fame

- some do it to be hip and cool and some just sing to spread their names

- some do it for the photographs in all them trendy magazines

- some sing even though they do not know what the song they just sing means.

Some do it for the lifestyle - some do it for the drugs

- some do it to have an alibi `cause everything else they do just sucks

- some do it to pick up boys or girls and be "hot" and "v.i.p."

- some do it `cause they always stayed up late to watch musicians on TV.

I sing `cause the songs demand me to - they force me to sing and write.

My life got changed by a beat-up guitar and I´m on tour again far away from home - with a drifter´s poem - wherever I may roam - and I´m travelling light !

I don´t have any choice even if I wanted to

- here today - tomorrow gone

- on the road from show to show - well, what can I do ?

But I´m quite tired of moving on.

I don´t need too much stuff - just an amp to plug in. I don´t need no glitter and gold.
